Description

An improved version of the Nanban helmet that features bird feather decorations towards the rear.

Robust Nanban upper body armour. It is similar in design to Western armour, with its bulging front—central area providing excellent defence against bullets.

Waist and thigh protection that takes inspiration from the thick tassets seen in Western armour, under which "haidate" with wide iron plates are lined up.

Greaves made from rounded iron plates, with additional protection provided for the knee, drawing on influences from Western armour. This Tosei–gusoku armour was worn by a warlord from the Western provinces.
