Description[]

This helmet is decorated with deer horns on either side, and the Sanada clan's family crest of six coins at the front. This Tose—gusoku armour belonged to Sanada Yoshimura, once hailed as the greatest warrior in all Japan. Of all the Takeda clan's surviving retainer families, the Sanada were the ones to lead the insurrection against the Tokugawa. Sanada is said to have dressed for battle in red from head to toe lest the proud tradition of the Takeda clan's Red Army be forgotten.

This upper body armour is made from interconnected rectangular iron plates, fastened with cords running lengthways. The simple construction belies its strength, which goes to explain why this was the dominant style of armour during the Warring States era.

These gauntlets are made from long, thin iron plates bound with fabric so as to fit around the arm.

These thigh guards consist of two iron plates that provide protection down to the knees, and four smaller plates that guard the upper thighs. The larger plates are bigger than normal, and rather heavy, but offer excellent protection.

These greaves are made from many interconnected iron plates fastened together with cord. Save the inner leg, they offer superb protection for the lower body.

How to Obtain[]

Originally only available to player who pre ordered the game or bought it within the first 2 weeks after its release, however, patch note 1.20 contained the following note:

"Fixed a bug in which Sanada Yukimura would not drop the sanada crimson equipment or smithing texts."

It is unknown if the set was supposed to be dropped by Sanada Yukimura from the start or if it was added through a prior patch and fixed with patch 1.20

Notes[]

With the exception of the white coat, this set is physically identical to the Last Great General's Armour set and is identical to the Scion of Virtue's Armour.
