Description

A legendary and studded helmet design that consists of ten layers of iron sheet, and drops a decorative crest in favour of practicality. This headgear also features a "menpo" mask that covers the entire face. This heavy armour was employed by the four mighty generals whose amazing exploits earned them the moniker of "The Four Great Commanders".

The do in this set is an "abara—do," or ribbed do, consisting of two heavy iron plates on the front and back and bound together with cord.

Arm guards that are "moro—gote" — guards for both arms — making them more suitable for close—quarters combat than archery, as they cover the entire lower arm from elbow to fingertips.

Leg guards made from scales, unlike the do, so they are less likely to hinder movement. For infantry, such heavy armour would strain the shoulders and back, but it is designed for cavalry, so the saddle bears much of the weight.

Leg guards consisting of plates of iron and leather. They are held firmly in position with cord, often over the top of a "katabira," which is a type of hemp garment.
